Relocation...Renovation

I felt so bad not writing anything in this blog space. Need to show some kind of support to Blogger (blogspot) or risk it being shutdown when more blogger dropping out.

Anything I said about being busy at work is bollocks. I am actually planning a move from current home to approximately 15 minutes away up north...a place known by its generic name of PJU (Petaling Jaya Utara or North PJ). We were actually badly screwed by the renovator not only the delay in some minor change of structure and extension but also their continuous VOs (Variation Orders).

Finally, I had it and screamed at their boss to get things quickly fixed up and bugger off. On top of that, I began to call upon my friend's help to engage independent contractors to rectify various outstanding bits and pieces that include the grinding and re-varnishing of the timber flooring, fencing, paint work, water filtration etc. Bloody pissed off with the main contractor! All these jobs could have been given to the renovator if not because of their attitude and arrogant behavior. After all, money is in my pocket and they thought they can screw us more for extra dosh. Fcuk-off!

Felt much better now as things are finally coming to shape and I have a wee bit time to release some anguish through this cyber diary. Few months/years down the road when I read this article, I will at least remind myself not to be fooled by pretty Interior Decorator/Designer without at least find out who the hell is the real boss behind that Barbie face.

People Come People Go - Cycle of Life

Read latest blogs from Jolene and Mervyn and share their sorrow with deepest condolence to their family.

Various descriptions reminded me of my recent lost of my grandmother circa May this year. Will not elaborate more but SAD may be an understatement.

After that, I have constantly reminding myself that "The Joy of Birth Often Balance Off With Grief of Demise". That is the JoB of GoD (or whatever one believes in). In the same respect, committing to more benevolence rather than peccadillo at all opportunities possible.

Birth . Oldage . Illness . Death .

Enough said for now.

Double Standards

Sometime I just couldn't understand what is causing people having double standard on almost everything...treatment, pricing on goods, courtesy etc.

Just because you happened to live in a particular street doesn't mean that you are rich or poor as the others in the same surroundings. But, what I have learned from the last few days' encounter with some merchants such as the curtains vendor, locksmiths, plumber etc. First reaction from them is "Wah! you live there ahh? Very expensive place hoh..." then suddenly you found out that the prices quoted are slightly bummed upwards. Why is this? Just because you live in a decent terrace house on a more affluent area, and you have to pay more for almost everything?

Still couldn't figure out the logics behind it. I think I should experiment putting an address in those less significant places ... once the rates and pricing has been agreed...quickly say...oh I forgot, the address I have given is my friend's place...my actual address is XYZ....see if they can find an excuse to change the price.
