6 Year-Old Kindergarten Graduation Song

Next Sunday (11/11/07) is my daughter's kindies school graduation cum concert day.

My girl was chosen as one of the singers for the graduation song contingent. She was so serious about the whole preparation thingy even though she has another year to go before her own graduation from the same school. The amount of time she spent on the practice and self rehearsal amazes me...Such dedication and enthusiasm.

The song was well written (I guess for children that age, you don't really expect to include big words with deep meaning) and has a catchy tune to it. I can't present the tune to you but at least the lyrics (if I can still remember them correctly after persistent playing the role of my girl's audience):

"Like a big family walking side by side.
In this school we have taken our pride.
Though its time to say good-bye, we won't forget the good times gone by.

Chorus:
Thank you for the JOY, Thank you for the LAUGHTER,
Thank you for the LOVE that brings us HERE.

Thank you for the JOY, Thank you for the LAUGHTER,
Thank you for the LOVE that brings us TOGETHER.

Repeat Chorus."
